How we reward our people

Operational employees and divisional managers receive a base salary, supplemented by discretionary awards. These performance-based incentives are tied to safety and health outcomes, as well as production targets. For divisional managers, additional bonuses may reflect performance in areas such as production efficiency, cost control, and alignment with the Group’s corporate values.

The Group regularly reviews wages to ensure they remain in step with inflation, with particular attention to supporting lower-paid employees. All staff are paid above both the minimum wage and the living wage, as defined by the governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Support beyond pay

In accordance with Kazakhstan’s legal requirements and internal employee agreements, KAZ Minerals also provides financial support to current and former employees in cases of illness or disability sustained during their employment with the Group.
