Oleg was one of the key members of management who, as Finance Director, listed the Group in 2005 before his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 2007 and Chair in 2018. As Chair, he has responsibility for strategy, government relations and business development. Oleg is uniquely qualified for his role due to his operational knowledge, project development expertise and relationships with industrial, financial and political leaders in Kazakhstan. Oleg played an instrumental role in the restructuring which formed the KAZ Minerals Group in 2014 and since then the Group has successfully developed two new world class copper mines, resulting in one of the highest growth rates in the industry and he continues to lead the strategic development of the Group. In April 2021, Oleg, together with Vladimir Kim as the ultimate beneficial owners of Nova Resources, acquired KAZ Minerals, delisted the Company and re-registered it as a private limited company. Before joining the Group in 2001, Oleg was chairman of Kazprombank JSC.
